Is Getting a Tattoo Painful?
The level of discomfort experienced during a tattoo varies depending on individual pain tolerance, the placement of the tattoo, and the length of the session. However, the vast majority of first-time clients leave saying, “I expected it to be much worse.”
Additional Piercing FAQs
Do You Have Certifications and Health Authority Approvals?
Yes, we hold all required certifications, licences, and approvals issued by the relevant health authorities and public health inspection office.
I Am Under 15/18 Years Old. Can I Still Get a Piercing?
We perform piercings on minors under the age of 15 only when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Clients aged 15 to 18 may receive a piercing with written consent and the signature of a parent or legal guardian (downloadable HERE). We recommend navel piercings from the age of 15, while genital and nipple piercings are performed only on clients who are 18 years of age or older.
I Have My Own Jewellery. Can I Bring It?
If the jewellery is suitable for the intended piercing, you may bring it to the studio at least one day before the procedure so it can be properly sterilised.
What Materials Do You Use?
All jewellery used for new piercings is made from certified Grade 23 titanium. We do not use surgical steel, as it may cause allergic reactions, and we also avoid bioplast, which has a rougher surface than titanium and tends to accumulate healing-related residue and impurities more easily. All jewellery is sterilised prior to use, our sterilisation equipment is tested daily, and it undergoes annual professional inspections and certification checks.
Do You Use Needles or Piercing Guns?
No reputable professional piercing studio uses piercing guns. They are considered unhygienic and unsuitable because the skin is not pierced cleanly but rather forced apart by blunt jewellery, which compresses the tissue and makes proper cleaning more difficult during the healing process. For all piercings, we use only sterile single-use Braun needles. Their use minimises tissue trauma and allows for the correct jewellery to be fitted for each specific piercing.
How Should I Care for My Piercing?
We consider antibacterial soap to be the foundation of proper aftercare for external piercings. To support the healing process, we recommend a sea salt solution, and for protection against infection, an antibacterial solution. All recommended products can be found in our Product Range section. Every client automatically receives detailed aftercare instructions in both verbal and written form.
How Long Does a Piercing Take to Heal?
The average healing time for an earlobe or tongue piercing is approximately 4 weeks. A septum piercing typically heals in about 6 weeks, while eyebrow and lip piercings generally require around 10 weeks. Nose piercings usually heal in approximately 3 months, and ear cartilage piercings take between 2 and 4 months, depending on the specific type. Navel and nipple piercings typically require 4–6 months to heal. Healing times depend significantly on proper aftercare and adherence to recommended care instructions.
Does It Hurt?
The level of discomfort experienced during a piercing is highly individual. However, an experienced piercer performs the procedure with precision and efficiency to minimise both the duration of the procedure and any associated discomfort. The vast majority of our clients tell us afterwards that the piercing was much less painful than they had expected.
How Much Does It Cost?
Prices for individual procedures can be found in our Price List section. The price includes comprehensive client care as well as a jewellery change after the piercing has fully healed.
Do I Need an Appointment?
Walk-in visits are always welcome. However, due to high demand, we recommend booking an appointment in advance, including for jewellery changes. This helps you avoid waiting times and ensures that we can accommodate your visit.
